Spartanburg High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team

The Boys Varsity Basketball team was defeated by Hillcrest High School, 69-54, on Friday, February 5, 2010.

Spartanburg High School Girls Varsity Basketball Team

The Girls Varsity Basketball team defeated Byrnes High School, 70-29, on Wednesday, February 3, 2010.

Spartanburg High School JROTC

JROTC Military Ball was held on Saturday, February 6, 2010.

Spartanburg High School Wrestling

Spartanburg Wrestling qualified 10 wrestlers for 14 weight classes in the Upper State.

Spartanburg High School Band

The Spartanburg Winter Guard had their first competition on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Easley High School.

Aaron Gantt, Spartanburg High School Band Director, named Bi-Lo’s Golden Apple Award Winner

WYFF News 4 announced that this year's Golden Apple Award winner was Aaron Gantt, Band Director at Spartanburg High School. Mr. Gantt oversees the district's band program and also conducts the marching band, symphonic band, wind ensemble, and color guard. He was honored for being a dedicated professional who goes above and beyond the standard teaching methods.

Spartanburg High School Coaches, Smiley and Rice, Named as SCTCCCA Hall of Fame Inductee

Spartanburg High School's Glover Smiley and Shay Rice, now retired, was announced as hall of fame inductee and will be inducted March 27 at the SCTCCCA Coaches Classic meet at West Ashley in Charleston.

Andre Whitmire Named Herald-Journal’s Boys Basketball Player of the Week

Andre Whitmire, Spartanburg High School Senior, was named the Herald-Journal's Boys Basketball Player of the Week. Andre scored 18 points against Boiling Springs High School and then a game high 27 points against Dorman High School.
