Spartanburg High School Girls Golf Team

Congratulations to the Girls Golf Team for defeating Boiling Springs and Wade Hampton on September 3. The Lady Viking Golf Team shot a 155 to defeat Boiling Springs 181 and Wade Hampton 202. The Vikings were led by Katy Funk with a 35, Anne Taylor Hough with a 37, Ellis Bauknight with a 38, and great scores from Page Morehead and Cameron Smith, both with 45.

Spartanburg High School Swim Teams

Congratulations to the all swim team members as both, the boys and girls swim teams, thoroughly dominated the Rock Hill teams yesterday winning every single event in the meet. The Girls Team won 143 to 13 and the Boys team won 134.5 to 35.5. Spartanburg swimmers winning events (both individual and relays) were Charlotte Ward, David Dennis, Chrissy Oberg, David Ingraham, Mary Frances Babrowicz, Will Cox, and Sarah Babrowicz, along with other members of winning relays: Sarah Glenn Neidenbach, Allison Cox, Alden Earl, Sabine Connors, Caleb Felmet, and Wade Miller. Top two finishes were recorded by Sabine Connors, Wade Miller, Temple Smith, Marylee Martin, Sarah Babrowicz, Allison Cox, Alden Earl, and Sarah Glenn Neidenbach.

Spartanburg High School Girls Golf Team

On Tuesday, August 31, the Lady Viking Golf Team finished in sixth place at the Palmetto Invitational. Katy Funk led the Vikings with a 74. Mary Eaton and Caroline Hollar had their best tournament rounds with an 85 and a 97.

Spartanburg High School Girls Tennis Team

On Tuesday, August 31, the Girls Tennis team defeated Dorman 4 to 2. Congratulations to Caroline Holland, Kelsey Barnette, and Katherine Eaton for winning their matches.

Spartanburg High School Girls Tennis

On Monday, August 30, the Girls Tennis team defeated Union County 5 to 1. Congratulations to Caroline Holland, Charlotte Taylor, Kelsey Barnette, and Katherine Eaton for winning their matches.

Spartanburg High School Girls Tennis

On Sunday, August 22, the Girls Tennis team finished third in the Steadman-Hawkins Invitational Tournament. They were also chosen by the other teams to receive the Best Sportsmanship Trophy. Team members were Caroline Holland, Charlotte Taylor, Kelsey Barnette, Katherine Eaton, and Olivia Rainer.

Spartanburg High School Girls Golf

On Thursday, August 26, the Girls Golf team shot their lowest match score ever to defeat Boiling Springs 153 to 175. Katy Funk led the Vikings with a 1 under par 34 followed by Anne Taylor Hough with a 38, Ellis Bauknight with a 39, and Mary Eaton with a 42.
