Spartanburg High School has two orchestras. The Symphony Orchestra is a full orchestra that performs major symphonic works. The Symphony is very much in demand to play for the community and has performed at State and National Conventions. The Orchestra performs three major concerts per year and students participate in state and district Music contests. The Philharmonic Orchestra is a string orchestra that presents two major concerts each year and participates in state and district music contests.
