SHS Chorus Receives "Superior" at Music Festival

Spartanburg High School Chorus for received a "Superior" at the "Carowinds Music Festival" the weekend of May 1-2, 2010. The Festival is judged by three respected choral directors from Universities in the South-East Region, and Choirs from all over the South-East participated in this event.

Every year, the Spartanburg High Chorus holds auditions for any student interested in vocal music. The chorus performs four major concerts each year, participates in school assemblies, and sings at graduation. The chorus annually participates in at least one choral competition where they have consistently received the highest ratings. The show choir is selected from the chorus. These students present a high energy show of song and dance that is in constant demand throughout the upstate.
