The Spartanburg High School Band is the oldest band program in South Carolina. It is filled with a rich tradition of excellence. Students in the band program have the opportunity to participate in numerous ensembles, including the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Marching Band, Chamber Ensembles, and the Color Guard. Students in the band program are among the top students at SHS, achieving academically, in athletics, and various other activities. The goal of our program is to instill a strong work ethic in our students, as we are always in the pursuit of perfection. We create an environment which centers around the enrichment that music brings into our lives.
