2009-2010 Art Department Awards

Susan Todd is the winner of the 2009-2010 4th Congressional District High School Art Competition. Congressman Bob Inglis announced Susan as the winner Friday, April 30, 2010 in downtown Spartanburg at The Showroom. The 4th Congressional District encompasses Spartanburg, Greenville, Laurens, Cherokee, and Abbeville counties. There were 122 entries from high schools all over the upstate, including the Governor's School for the Arts. Susan's beautiful pencil drawing of a wrinkled shirt won first place, which gives it the honor of hanging in Washington, DC during the next year in the US capital building.
